[00:00:00] We're at the consent agenda. I'm going to move the Gordon meeting minutes from 3 for 19 to board business.
I'll make a motion that we go and adopt the consent agenda with the removal of the March fourth Point nineteen regular board meeting minutes, okay?

[00:01:00] I'm a local attorney. I represent. I may represent students and parents in the district at any given time of matter content may come to the board that materially benefits one of my clients. If it does I will abstain from participating in discussion or decisions on the matter without disclosing the identity of my client.
We are public comment time and we appreciate all any member of the public that comes to take time from the data share with us their voice and to take part in our district action involvement of our community is valued and appreciated public comment time is a time that the board uses to collect information rather than engage in dialogue.
We encourage speakers not to mistake the board silence for a lack of Interest or care. We are listening carefully and most of us are taking notes at various times. [00:02:00] If you are asking the district or board to take action or provide information, please make sure your contact information is left with Miss Douglas so that the appropriate person can follow up with you.
Public comment time is not a forum for singling out individual District employees or students for complaints nor an inference. Of a complaint towards a particular position or employee or student you have a complaint regarding those don't mention them by name or provide information that would allow them to be identified.
We have another process for doing with that. You can speak with me afterwards or Miss Douglas appreciate that you keep your comments to three minutes if three minutes is not a time. We're always welcome to reach out to either the district office or the board of the later time. Submit materials also it should be known that we do regularly receive emails that are shared among the board and with appropriate [00:03:00] stuff.
That's another way for us to so Mr. McCabe if you would come forward.

Michael Lane Western Oregon 9 7 0 6 8 the area that eye on the budget. I know it's basically been given to the committee and the board but in in order for people to really review it there.
There's been some things. I did not look for this year because I saw what we budgeted last year for the number of students and I saw it the number being below the ATM being below. What was budgeted so I assume you're going to get less money and there's no reason to bring anything up but we're getting less money.
However, when I went back and reviewed this year, we are actually getting 1.7 million dollars more from the state. Then [00:04:00] what was budgeted due to Comcast pain around the whole state very delayed property tax. And so when they pay their property tax every the amount per to ATM went up. It might affect the ending fund balance.
I don't know because we could have had more expenses without seeing what the budget looks like and I'm waiting for what will be presented at 7:50 later today to find out if that is reflected there. You can't see anything on website the other issue and because of that issue like that and how we've put money aside for pers.
It's like outside right now. We're in a rainy day. And so we don't we do not know what the legislature is going to do, but it's almost like yes, we're short from where we would like to be. However the ending fund balance at least the curves portion of [00:05:00] it. If a substantial portion of is used for in this current budget period we could see a lot we see basically.
The same quantity of teachers or I should say staff as it were has been in the prior year with the role of cost. But the other thing that I looked at when I looked at the states for what we're getting for funds for next year. I was surprised that there is only like a from last year. There is a ATM decrease.
There's an increase over where we are now, but only 10 ATM and I'm sort of like. Are we in a no growth status right now or is this the case of a lot of the Open Enrollment students leaving the district? I don't know. I hope you guys do with the public when they look at a budget. Those are some of the things that I hoping you guys are informed and it would be nice to the [00:06:00] public were informed to so because you can then look forecast.
We have a need or are we. In a no growth mode, which is. you like to know. Thank you.
We have one more person who came for public comment. I'm going to repeat some of we're well, welcome anyone to come and speak and we appreciate your voice and you taking part in the district action. This is a time where the board collects information and doesn't engage in dialogue. So don't take our science silence to be a lack of Interest.
We're taking those were paying attention if you want action then make sure that Miss Douglas or has your address in your contact information so that we can get back to you careful not to single out an. Student or [00:07:00] staff member or employee for complaints and it to three minutes and if you could give your full name and your address to start thank you.

It's okay if I lower this mic a little bit. Thanks. I don't have a complaint. I have a suggestion and actually a request I'm a union carpenter. I also have a child in this district and I am interested in wanting to work on rather. We rebuild a building or rather. We start a building from scratch.
I would like to see more. Union [00:08:00] carpenters on those projects we support the teachers union. So I'd like to see some more reciprocity with that and I would also like to ask if it's possible for us to request it more women and minorities are considered on those jobs. That was it.
